Comment: I love the traffic link I purchased. I was coming home from work and the traffic ahead was stopped, it re-routed me to by-pass the traffic and then get right back on the route I was taking. Only works in selected cities, so check the list before you buy.

I have a Megellan Roadmate 1440, I purchased this item as an add on. I have had this item for about a month now. I have used it almost daily and it has come in handy on many occasions. I think for the price I paid it was money well spent.

Wish list: I wish that megellan would create a downloadable app for traffic camera alerts for the Roadmate 1440 that is the only thing that I feel it is lacking, that would really be a big help.

Comment: Went from Nw In to Charleston SC area, it constantly said it was acquiring a signal..but never did. I can understand in the mountains, but other big city areas...NOTHING! Think I'm going to return it.

Complete waste of time and money

I rarely write reviews but this cord never worked as a traffic indicator. Constantly turned off and never gave me any traffic info, was always "searching." Now after 4 months of use, it doesn't work at all - the plastic piece at the end is cracked (how? since I didn't take it out of the charger). It has been a waste of time and money, I'll probably buy Tom Tom next since I cannot believe Magellan would sell such junk.

Received Traffic Link for christmas along with Roadmate 1470. Had to return the 1470 immediately, which was replace by earlier version. After 6 months I have only used the GPS about a half a dozen times. The only traffic updates I ever get is "no traffic delays". Maybe I never traveled in traffic areas. The 12 volt plug end fell apart, it looks like the ring that clips the two pieces together must have cracked the plastic on assembly. Called Magellan they said since I did'nt buy it directly off them there was nothing they could do except give me 25% off $79.99 which is higher than I can buy on line.
