I bought this because the window mount that came with my Garmin 265WT just wasn't cutting it. I use this in a Ford truck that has a perfectly placed (and extra) cup holder to use. It works great, fits the cup holder and locks into place. The "neck" that has the ball that fastens to the mount that your GPS clips into has notches cut into it, so it won't slip down. The only negatives I can see with the product is that the "stem" is so long the GPS vibrates somewhat. I am thinking of using to velrco tape to strap it to the dash. I WISH they would have included an extra mount so that when you change GPS into another vehicle you won't have to snap and unsnap off the ball which I feel will be a wear point in the future.
