Here is a great mount for the Garmin Nuvi. Custom Nuvi cradle with a heavy duty handlebar mount that fits handlebars up to 1 inches. We even include rubber strips so that this mount can be used for much smaller handlebars. The Nuvi holder is a real work of art. It permits full access to all ports and controls located at the side of the Nuvi. There are options on the mount to allow tilt and angle adjustment. So you can move it to the left and right as well as up and down.

The handlebar mount is attached to my recumbent trike for the 50-70miles I ride. I dremelled off the corners, the nuvi fits perfectly; and added some extra support with velcro.
The nuvi has a bigger screen and is easier to navigate than my Garmin 60CSx; so modifying the handlebar mount was really important.
It works great. :)
Only a 4star rating because Garmin doesn't make a mount for the wide screens; a mod was necessary!

I purchased this based on the suggestion that it would fit the Garmin Nuvi 285W and it does not. Garmin says they do not make a handlebar mount for that unit due to its size and weight. I returned the mount, but kept the Nuvi. Great return policy with Amazon. Couldn't have been easier.

I missed another reviewers comments that this handle-bar mount doesn't fit the Garmin Nuvi 500/550. Ended up buying the Garmin "Scooter" mount for my bicycle. Kind of clunky but hopefully will keep the Nuvi securely mounted.

I bought this mount to use with my Nuvi 275T. It works great! The GPS hasn't budged at all since I mounted it. Just beware that this won't work with the wide-screen models. The mounting system is similar to the other Garmin cycling GPS units (Edge series) in that it uses two zip ties to mount to the stem. As long as you use everything that comes in the mounting package, it is extremely secure. I highly recommend it if you don't want to buy a cycling specific GPS unit.
