I love this product. It was easy out of the box. Takes almost no time to acquire the satillites. This is a definite must for any type runner. The software that comes with it is a little lacking, but you can download some other products for free that are better. That is the only reason that I gave it a 4 star rating...otherwise it's a 5!

Comment:
I bought this product for my wife but we ended up stealing it from each other over and over again because it works so well. Neither of us use the software but the product-- the GPS unit-- is excellent. It usually acquires satellites in under a minute, although with heavy cloud cover this can take longer. For best results, turn it on and set it down on the roof of your car or somewhere else flat so it can acquire a signal while you stretch. The buttons are well-thought out, and the screen is easy to read, even in a light rain or while sprinting. I have only lost signal or experienced inaccuracy when running underneath large power lines, and that is only in one area near where I live.
My wife and I have used this watch in most of the Eastern USA (from New Hampshire to Florida), as well as Iraq and South Korea. The satellite reception is excellent, and for under $300, it is impossible to find a product that performs as well. Now that we can get one for around $150, we will both own one so we can each keep track of our separate pace and mileages.
Great product, anyone who runs/walks/bikes more than once a week should own one.

Love this gadget, keeps me motivated to maintain pace when I start to get tired. I'm a novice runner and only use the basics. There are many features that would be great for the fitness fanatic.

Comment:
Very happy with the purchase. It's a little expensive for my taste, but their website provides excellent information as well as developer API's to create some pretty impressive applications from the GPS data.
If that's your cup of tea, it's a cool watch.

Comment:
Great ergonomic forerunner. Much improved over the first forerunner. A lot of features, almost too much, more than I will use, however the size, weight are perfect. The features I use are the pace and distance which worked w/i a tenth of a mile at each mile post on my last marathon.
