Vertical Mounts Beware!

I used this product to mount my Garmin Nuvi 660 to the dash of my Tahoe, but after less than three weeks, it fell off. You can stick it back on, but once it has fallen, it never has the same grip. I suppose these things might work great on a horizontal mount, but beware if you intend to mount on a vertical surface. After having used up the disk which came with my Nuvi and now this one, I am looking at other options such as an AC duct mount.

Since original DashBoard Disk that came with Garmin GPS was affixed to a surface that was not level (an ashtray lid), it did not support my GPS system and had to be replaced. The second disk will come in handy when traveling in a rental car with your own GPS in CA or MN and you need to affix it so something other than the windshield glass.
