I liked half-werewolf Bloodrunner Jeremy Burns since he was introduced as Mason Dillinger's sidekick partner in Last wolf Standing. Mason was good but Jeremy is more likable and I liked his story with Jillan better than Masons which was good. Due to some betrayals by others in the past they have been mates and separated for 10 years. The hot romance is great as they struggle to overcome the past and show their true feelings for each other. These wolf books of Rhyannon's s are good and well worth the read.

2nd in series - another good story!
Comment:
I enjoyed this entire series though of the 3 the storyline of this one wasn't my favorite theme. The couple is destined to be together but for 10 years they've been apart because of misunderstandings and distrust and fear of being hurt/rejected. And there were twists in this one where they still kept falling into the same trap instead of just talking! I also didn't care for the deception from other people but overall even with these things I didn't care for it was another great read and carries the storyline of the rogue werewolves from book 1 and continues to book 3. I lvoe the happily ever afters in these books along with the lovable alpha males!

Comment:
Jeremy Burns has come back to the one place he hoped he'd never return to, Silvercrest. Jeremy and the rest of his Bloodrunner brothers are half breeds. They are half human, half werewolf. The only way to prove themselves and be accepted into the Silvercrest pack is to kill a specific number of rogue werewolves then report their numbers to the League of Elders. None of the Bloodrunners have ever reported to the Elders, preferring to stay on their own. But Jeremy has returned to flush out a traitor.

Jillian is a witch. She lives with the Silvercrest clan as their Spirit Walker--a healer and spiritual leader. When Jeremy first met Jillian, ten years ago, he recognized Jillian as his lifemate, but it took Jillian a while to accept him and his womanizing past. When she finally did, he betrayed her, or so she believes. Jeremy has decided that he's waited long enough. He plans to claim his mate. His heart has nothing to do with it though and Jillian won't settle for anything less than his love.

While Jillian and Jeremy face one obstacle after another trying to reconcile their past and begin a future together, the rogue werewolves are still killing humans and the truth of who is behind it hits close to home.

Last Wolf Hunting is erotic and exciting. It's a perfect addition to the Bloodrunners series. Jeremy is irresistible. He is very intense, all alpha male, and very charming. Aside from being courageous, compassionate, and strong, Jillian's ability to resist Jeremy is amazing! Last Wolf Standing is all about intensity. It has a thrilling plot, a steamy romance, and great characters. It's excellent.

Summary:
   terrific werewolf romantic suspense
Comment:
Half-human half-werewolf Bloodrunner Jeremy Burns and his partner Cian Hennessey head to the lair of the Silvercrest pack in Shadow Peak, Maryland, a place he vowed never to turn to after leaving years ago. Jeremy and Cian have followed clues to his former pack where someone is persuading the young to go rogue and kill humans. He knows his lifemate the pack's spirit walker Jillian Murphy will be there, but he will not claim her, as she deserves better than him; besides the pack needs her while he does not want to remain there.

From the first moment they see one another in a decade; Jillian and Jeremy know the attraction remains strong even though she is a bit distracted with a cat fight to the death in the Challenge Circle. Still Jeremy must focus on finding the proof that elder Stefan Drake is agitating the younger members and needs her help as he is as always the half-breed outsider.

The second Bloodrunner werewolf romantic suspense (see Last Wolf Standing) is a terrific tale starring lifemates whose respective life goal means living separate lives. Like Cian, fans will be hooked from the moment that Jillian and Danna fight to the death, as that opening segue provides the audience insight into the Byrd werewolf mythos. Much more follows woven into an exciting paranormal investigative thriller starring two heroes who can't live together but can't live apart

Fortunately there's still one more 'wolf' to go, can't get enough of Byrd's hunky shifters
Comment:
Where many paranormal romance authors use the `shifters' mate bond as a jump start to connect strangers, author Rhyannon Byrd's gives the connection a different twist using the double edged knife of love and loss to add depth to the romance in Last Wolf Hunting (Silhouette Nocturne). Here the leads, werewolf Bloodrunner Jeremy and Silvercrest pack SpiritWalker/witch/medicine-woman Jillian are not strangers. Both have suffered years of pain and loneliness by denying their bond and after the `incident' that drove them apart, Jeremy has avoided Jillian by living apart from the pack. But when Jeremy draws the short straw and is chosen as the Bloodrunner to return to pack land to pursue clues in recent spate of human murders by rogue werewolves clues that indicate that the rogue leader is a member of the pack High Council, Jeremy will need Jillian's help to ferret out the traitor and stop the killings.

As Jillian and Jeremy come back together at last, neither is willing to risk their hearts again, but Jeremy is determined to finally consumate the physical part of their relationship, seeing no further reason to hold back now that Jillian is no longer the young girl he left behind. But Jillian still fights against letting Jeremy back in her life, still believing that he can't be trusted with her heart and still fearing the damage Jeremy could do if she succumbs to the incredible attraction to her unclaimed mate.

Byrd does a great job of drawing out the tension as Jeremy 'hunts' Jillian and by giving them much to overcome in order to be together. She also draws out sympathy for Jeremy who is back in a place where he is reviled and dropped back into the situation where he not only has to fight Jillian's misconceptions but also the interference of her parents and everyone else since pretty much the whole town wants to keep the pair apart.

So Last Wolf Hunting gets an enthusiastic endorsement for me it was a great quick and steamy read and I am looking forward to the last book in the triology Last Wolf Watching (Silhouette Nocturne) coming out next month where Michaela, Torry's friend from Last Wolf Standing (Silhouette Nocturne), gets a wolf of her own. Although I am hoping that it is not really the last we'll be seeing of the Byrd's Bloodrunners because with all the interesting and hunky werewolves we've met in the last two books, I am hoping Byrd will consider adding a few more books for Eric, Dylan and Cian.
